Shashlyk (Shashlik, Szaszłyk) is a form of Shish kebab popular in Eastern and Central Europe. Pork Neck is cut into medium-size cubes, thoroughly mixed with finely selected seasoning, onion, sunflower oil, lemon juice and mayonnaise and left to marinate overnight. It can be combined with chunks of vegetables such as bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, or tomatoes and placed on skewers to be barbequed on a grill over wood, charcoal, or coal.
