Shashlyk (Shashlik, Szaszłyk) is a form of Shish kebab popular in Eastern and Central Europe. Pork Neck is cut into medium-size cubes, thoroughly mixed with finely selected seasoning, onion, sunflower oil and lemon juice and left to marinate overnight. It is usually combined with chunks of vegetables such as bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, or tomatoes and placed on skewers to be barbequed on a grill over wood, charcoal, or coal.
